I am a lover of art and all things whimisical and curious. I teach Art Education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and previously taught Visual Art at a local high school, Alabama. I reside with my husband John and my dog Luna in the Avondale neighborhood of Birmingham.

I received my Bacherlor's Degree in Studio Arts from UAB in 2004 and my Master's Degree in Education from UAB in 2007. In 2013 I was awarded the Alabama Art Teacher of the Year award by the Alabama Art Education Association. I also became a Nationally Board Certified Teacher in 2013.

I created this site as a place to showcase "goings on" in my art classroom, my own personal art studio and art happenings in the art world near me.

​

It also served as a shared space for my AP Studio art students to share interesting "ART-i-facts" with one another through a collaborative blog.
